  • You can make ricotta by adding lemon juice or vinegar to simmering milk and stirring. The curds will form and separate, and then you can collect them in a cloth or paper towel and let them drain.

  • The dough needs refrigerating for an hour, not the shells

  • Ah ok! Well, ricotta is a fresh cheese with a very delicate taste, just like milk… on the contrary cream cheese (like philadelphia) has a stronger, slightly acidic flavour. You can experiment a variation on the cannoli recipe!

  • You are so right. Sicilian Cannoli are made with candied citron and chopped pistachios in the filling.

  • I am so glad that I clicked onto this page! I’ve spent so much time viewing various web-sites, staring at cannoli recipes, and not trying a single one simply because I felt the recipes were missing something. I’ve saved this video to my playlist and I’ve subscribed. It’s been so long since I’ve had a cannoli and I will try your recipe.
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

  • While there are many different dialect, letters are present to guide pronunciations. A letter represents a sound. It’s not correct to leave out letters just because you learned it that way. Indeed, words have inherent pronunciations. However, I think you’re correct, too. She wasn’t misspelling, but phonetically speaking a name for turmeric. If people thing of ‘turmeric’ and ‘tumeric’ as two different names for turmeric that are spelled the same way, they’re both correct.

  • - Do a test patch first, it’s strong stuff, only leave it in for 10 mins. You can also try Cassia, I have another video on that. Good for light hair.

    Por mettta88 17 abril, 2012 @ 9:24
  • My hair is a similar colour to your original colour so I think I’ll give turmeric a go sometime soon :) Thanks for the video :)

  • Please be aware people pronounce words differently depending on where they grew up. Diff-er-ently.

    Por inglebritt 17 abril, 2012 @ 10:45
  • I use turmeric on my hair and it’s a strong coloring agent and it lasts over a month and you only have to apply for ten minutes for light hair.

  • - real henna = lawsonia inermis leaf powder body quality. body quality refers to a finer grain size suitable for body henna, this is a better grade henna than some others

    Por mettta88 17 abril, 2012 @ 12:34
  • - If your hair is black you are very limited with natural hair dyes. I would suggest henna though and you probably will get a red highlight or undertone. Try it on a test piece of hair. Tumeric should be used alone and only applied for 10 mins on light hair. It may not do anything for dark hair. Again do a test. You can try tea or coffee, but might not do much. Henna is best bet, make sure it is real henna (which is always red) with no PPD (chemical) in it.

  • as with any dye, it’s got to washed out afterwards. So the results you have are not indicative of the colour we would be left with. I have a feeling there’d be no colour left at all :

  • Hi, I only used a little bit of water since it was a small swatch of hair so it was approx 1/2 teaspoon to 1/2 c water. I have since used it on my whole head and am about to do a video on it – I used one 1 tablespoon to one cup water and used it as a rinse which I kept on my hair for 10 minutes with plastic covering it – it works pretty good. But be careful do a test first, it can look too gold and brassy if you leave it too long.

    Por mettta88 17 abril, 2012 @ 17:48
